What does 2 Kings 18:30 mean?
ESV: Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD by saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’
NIV: Do not let Hezekiah persuade you to trust in the LORD when he says, 'The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.'
NASB: And do not let Hezekiah lead you to trust in the Lord by saying, 'The Lord will certainly save us, and this city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.'
CSB: Don't let Hezekiah persuade you to rely on the Lord by saying, "Certainly the Lord will rescue us! This city will not be handed over to the king of Assyria." '
