What does 2 Kings 6:28 mean?
ESV: And the king asked her, “What is your trouble?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’
NIV: Then he asked her, 'What's the matter?' She answered, 'This woman said to me, 'Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we'll eat my son.'
NASB: Then the king said to her, 'What is on your mind?' And she said, 'This woman said to me, ‘Give your son so that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’
CSB: Then the king asked her, "What's the matter? "She said, "This woman said to me, 'Give up your son, and we will eat him today. Then we will eat my son tomorrow.'
