What does Amos 2:1 mean?
ESV: Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because he burned to lime the bones of the king of Edom.
NIV: This is what the LORD says: 'For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not relent. Because he burned to ashes the bones of Edom's king,
NASB: This is what the Lord says: 'For three offenses of Moab, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because he burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.
CSB: The Lord says: I will not relent from punishing Moab for three crimes, even four, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom to lime.
NLT: This is what the Lord says: 'The people of Moab have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They desecrated the bones of Edom’s king, burning them to ashes.
KJV: Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:
