What does Exodus 23:22 mean?
ESV: “But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
NIV: If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
NASB: But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage.
