What does Exodus 34:35 mean?
ESV: the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face was shining. And Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
NIV: they saw that his face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the LORD.
NASB: the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with Him.
CSB: and the Israelites would see that Moses's face was radiant. Then Moses would put the veil over his face again until he went to speak with the Lord.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage. Moses serves as God's spokesman, as the Lord brings plagues and judgments on Egypt, leading to the release of Israel.
