What does Ezekiel 34:5 mean?
ESV: So they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and they became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered;
NIV: So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild animals.
NASB: They scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became food for every animal of the field and scattered.
CSB: They were scattered for lack of a shepherd; they became food for all the wild animals when they were scattered.
