What does Isaiah 48:7 mean?
ESV: They are created now, not long ago; before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
NIV: They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, 'Yes, I knew of them.'
NASB: They are created now and not long ago; And before today you have not heard them, So that you will not say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
CSB: They have been created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today, so you could not claim, 'I already knew them! '
NLT: They are brand new, not things from the past. So you cannot say, ‘We knew that all the time!’
KJV: They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
NKJV: They are created now and not from the beginning; And before this day you have not heard them, Lest you should say, ‘Of course I knew them.’

Book Summary:
Isaiah is among the most important prophetic books in the entire Bible. The first segment details God's impending judgment against ancient peoples for sin and idolatry (Isaiah 1—35). The second part of Isaiah briefly explains a failed assault on Jerusalem during the rule of Hezekiah (Isaiah 36—39). The final chapters predict Israel's rescue from Babylonian captivity (Isaiah 40—48), the promised Messiah (Isaiah 49—57), and the final glory of Jerusalem and God's people (Isaiah 58—66).
