What does Jeremiah 2:3 mean?
ESV: Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of his harvest. All who ate of it incurred guilt; disaster came upon them, declares the LORD.”
NIV: Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of his harvest; all who devoured her were held guilty, and disaster overtook them,'' declares the LORD.
NASB: Israel was holy to the Lord, The first of His harvest. All who ate of it became guilty; Evil came upon them,' declares the Lord.’?'
