What does Joshua 24:27 mean?

NIV: See!' he said to all the people. 'This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God.'
NASB: Then Joshua said to all the people, 'Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, because it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us; so it shall be a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God.'
CSB: And Joshua said to all the people, "You see this stone--it will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the Lord said to us, and it will be a witness against you, so that you will not deny your God."
NLT: Joshua said to all the people, 'This stone has heard everything the Lord said to us. It will be a witness to testify against you if you go back on your word to God.'
KJV: And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
