What does Leviticus 16:31 mean?
ESV: It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute forever.
NIV: It is a day of sabbath rest, and you must deny yourselves; it is a lasting ordinance.
NASB: It is to be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, so that you may humble yourselves; it is a permanent statute.
