What does Leviticus 19:17 mean?
ESV: “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.
NIV: 'Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt.
NASB: ‘You shall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you may certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him.
CSB: "Do not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.
NLT: Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin.
KJV: Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
