What does Nahum 2:12 mean?
ESV: The lion tore enough for his cubs and strangled prey for his lionesses; he filled his caves with prey and his dens with torn flesh.
NIV: The lion killed enough for his cubs and strangled the prey for his mate, filling his lairs with the kill and his dens with the prey.
NASB: The lion tore enough for his cubs, Killed enough prey for his lionesses, And filled his lairs with prey And his dens with torn flesh.
CSB: The lion mauled whatever its cubs needed and strangled prey for its lionesses. It filled up its dens with the kill, and its lairs with mauled prey.
