What does Numbers 2:32 mean?
ESV: These are the people of Israel as listed by their fathers’ houses. All those listed in the camps by their companies were 603,550.
NIV: These are the Israelites, counted according to their families. All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550.
NASB: These are the numbered men of the sons of Israel by their fathers’ households; the total of the numbered men of the camps by their armies, 603,550.
CSB: These are the Israelites registered by their ancestral families. The total number in the camps by their military divisions is 603,550.
NLT: In summary, the troops of Israel listed by their families totaled 603,550.
KJV: These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
