Psalm 101:7 - Printer Friendly

ESV: No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.

NIV: No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.

NASB: One who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; One who speaks lies shall not maintain his position before me.

CSB: No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; the one who tells lies will not be retained here to guide me.

NLT: I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.

KJV: He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

NKJV: He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

The book of Psalms is composed of individual songs, hymns, or poems, each of which is a ''Psalm'' in and of itself. These works contain a wide variety of themes. Some Psalms focus on praising and worshipping God. Others cry out in anguish over the pain of life. Still other Psalms look forward to the coming of the Messiah. While some Psalms are related, each has its own historical and biblical context.
