ESV: The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.

NIV: The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

NASB: The Lord supports all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.

CSB: The Lord helps all who fall; he raises up all who are oppressed.

NLT: The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

KJV: The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

The book of Psalms is composed of individual songs, hymns, or poems, each of which is a ''Psalm'' in and of itself. These works contain a wide variety of themes. Some Psalms focus on praising and worshipping God. Others cry out in anguish over the pain of life. Still other Psalms look forward to the coming of the Messiah. While some Psalms are related, each has its own historical and biblical context.
