ESV: and say, “God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him.”

NIV: They say, 'God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.'

NASB: Saying, 'God has abandoned him; Pursue and seize him, for there is no one to save him.'

CSB: saying, "God has abandoned him; chase him and catch him, for there is no one to rescue him."

NLT: They say, 'God has abandoned him. Let’s go and get him, for no one will help him now.'

KJV: Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

The book of Psalms is composed of individual songs, hymns, or poems, each of which is a ''Psalm'' in and of itself. These works contain a wide variety of themes. Some Psalms focus on praising and worshipping God. Others cry out in anguish over the pain of life. Still other Psalms look forward to the coming of the Messiah. While some Psalms are related, each has its own historical and biblical context.
