ESV: I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens.

NIV: I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.

NASB: So I will establish his descendants forever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

CSB: I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as heaven lasts.

NLT: I will preserve an heir for him; his throne will be as endless as the days of heaven.

KJV: His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

The book of Psalms is composed of individual songs, hymns, or poems, each of which is a ''Psalm'' in and of itself. These works contain a wide variety of themes. Some Psalms focus on praising and worshipping God. Others cry out in anguish over the pain of life. Still other Psalms look forward to the coming of the Messiah. While some Psalms are related, each has its own historical and biblical context.
