Psalm 94:23 - Printer Friendly

ESV: He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out.

NIV: He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.

NASB: He has brought back their injustice upon them, And He will destroy them in their evil; The Lord our God will destroy them.

CSB: He will pay them back for their sins and destroy them for their evil. The Lord our God will destroy them.

NLT: God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them.

The book of Psalms is composed of individual songs, hymns, or poems, each of which is a ''Psalm'' in and of itself. These works contain a wide variety of themes. Some Psalms focus on praising and worshipping God. Others cry out in anguish over the pain of life. Still other Psalms look forward to the coming of the Messiah. While some Psalms are related, each has its own historical and biblical context.
